The San Antonio College Women's Center Provides comprehensive academic advising, counseling and enrollment assistance, information, referrals and supportive services for women and non-traditional populations including displaced homemakers, women-in-transition, single parents/student parents and re-entry women in order to assist them to realize their academic, career and personal goals.  Services offered include:

Seguir Adelante Program

The Seguir Adelante Program provides assistance to individuals in our community who desire to improve their family's economic security and stability through continued education or training.  Services are offered for someone entering college for the first time or after a long absence from school or individuals re-entering the workforce.  Services offered include: 

• Academic Advisement for first-time in college students
• Pre-College Services (Admissions, Registration, & FAFSA Assistance)
• Career Readiness Services (Career Exploration Assessments, Portfolio building)
• Workforce Preparation Workshops (Resume, Interviewing, Job Search)
• Technical Skills Remediation (Basic Computer Skills Workshops & Basic Keyboarding)
• GED Services:  Official Practice Test, GED Preparation classes, & Test Vouchers for eligible students*
• English Language Tutorials (Rosetta Stone Software)

Career Advancement & Self-Sufficiency Assistance

The Mi CASA (Career Advancement & Self-Sufficiency Assistance) Program assists low-to-moderate income families become self-sufficient by assisting them to find employment, improve computer skills and by providing comprehensive career development and other services in a one stop environment.  Services offered include:  

• Career Transition Lab
• Individual Career Counseling
• Career Workshops
• Basic Computer Skills Training
• Employability Skills Development
• Financial Literacy
