Victory Center

Coming Soon! A new complex to support veterans and active military personnel. The Victory Center at San Antonio College. Construction has begun on a $7.6 million facility that will be a home to host of services.

Coming Soon! A new complex to support veterans and active military personnel.

The Victory Center at San Antonio College.

Construction has begun on a $7.6 million facility that will be a home to host of services including:

• Financial aid, enrollment, and registration assistance.
• Job Training.
• Targeted academic advising.
• VA and Hazlewood certification
• Psychological and emotional support.

The Victory Center will also include plans for an innovative Instructional Academy, which will offer career and technical education courses the lead to a Level 1 Certificate. The Instructional Academy will equip students with knowledge and skill sets essential to the industry that will employ them, as well as fast-tracking their educational goals for immediate job placement.

Timeline

July 2015 – Texas state senator José Menendez announces San Antonio College and the Alamo Colleges District would receive nearly $9 million in state appropriations for the building the Victory Center.

February 2016
– San Antonio College holds a groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility.

Summer 2016 – San Antonio College receives approval from the City of San Antonio for the removal of an older structure on campus for the construction of the Victory Center.

November 2016 – Demolition begins on the site of the Victory Center Construction.

Expected completion date: Summer 2018.
