NON-COURSE-BASED REMEDIATION (NCBR)

Students may participate in non-course-based remediation (NCBR) through the BSEP as an alternative to course-based remediation. The course is held according to the regular class schedule and is non-graded. There are no college credit hours attached to the courses; therefore, participation will not count toward number of hours needed for financial aid. In order to meet the recommended 6 to 10 hours per week, students will supplement the lecture course with working in the computer lab. At this time NCBR is offered only for math.

WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM NCBR CLASSES?

Students who need to strengthen basic algebra skills before continuing in credit math class sequence
Student who need exit score of 76 on the AccuPlacer test for program completion or graduation
Students who have taken MATH 0301 but want to feel more confident before continuing to MATH 0302.

MATH LECTURE COURSES
Prerequisites for MATH 0001 Lecture Course: MATH 0300 with a grade of "C" or better, or test results indicating placement in Math 0301.
