MISSION STATEMENT

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is an academic support program that targets historically
difficult courses and supplements classroom learning by providing regularly scheduled, out-of class peer facilitated sessions. The goal of SI is to enable SAC students to integrate what-to-learn
with how-to-learn. It is the intent of SI to increase productive grade rates and lower drop, failure
and withdrawal (DFW) rates in historically difficult courses.
