|What is the Administrative Computer Technology program?
Administration Computer Technology (ACT) provides students the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to function in positions in accounting technology, court reporting, administrative assistant, records management, and paralegal studies.
Depending on your chosen course of study, you will learn Accounting Technology, Court Reporting, Administrative Assistant, Records Management or Paralegal Studies.
|What can I do with this course of study?
Accounting Technology - You can become an accounting technician or a junior accountant.
Court Reporting - You can become certified to work in the courts or as freelance reporters.
Administrative Assistant - You can become an office manager or an administrative assistant.
Records Management - You can become a Records Management Officer in compliance with the Texas State Local Government Records Law.
Paralegal Studies - You can obtain a position as a paralegal to serve clients' needs and assist attorney in trial preparation, legal research, and other areas of law.

The ACT Department offers short-term marketable skills, Level I, and Level II certificates which serve as the foundation for Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees.
