Adjunct Faculty Council Committees

Steering Committee

• The Steering Committee will solely serve the following activities of the Council: it will interact with and support all the other committees.

Ways and Means Committee

• This Committee will plan, prepare, and oversee such activities as setting up facilities for meetings and other activities as needed, arranging for refreshments, and printing materials necessary for Council functions as required.

Professional Development and Services Committee

• This Committee will plan, prepare, and implement activities to increase the overall effectiveness of adjuncts as professional educators and, when called upon, will extend such services to others, including the faculty at large.

Critical Issues Committee

• This Committee and any sub-committees created with prescribed approval will explore issues of concern to adjuncts, propose methods by which such issues might be addressed, and with Council approval, oversee sub-committees established to prepare further investigations for the purpose of preparing additional reports.

Elections Committee

• This committee oversees all stages of the election process.

Bylaws Committee

• This Committee shall be responsible to assist the Council in the interpretation of any Article of the Bylaws and any Sections, thereof, whenever such may be called into question.
