| What is the Chemistry program? |
Chemistry is the science that deals with the composition, structure, and properties of substances and with the transformations they undergo. This program, part of the Natural Sciences Department, is for those who major in chemistry in addition to students who are part of the Allied Health programs, pre-professional majors, and non-science majors.
The composition, structure, and properties of matter and the changes it undergoes. Students can experience direct contact with substances that compose our world—elements, compounds, and mixtures—examining and analyzing them both manually and instrumentally.

Students may choose to pursue careers as nurses, doctors, dentists, pharmacists, veterinarians, morticians, photographers, firefighters, chemists, biologists, geologists, and physicists.
