2373 Britt Items of Interest

An Item of Interest is something you see or hear that has a biblical connection, but is not used in a religious setting or context. Bumper stickers, news reports, comic strips, t-shirts, and other such secular places all contain these types of items. Each week you will post two that you have heard during the week. Students are not required to respond to each other’s Items of Interest, though they may. These items are a way to connect the course material to the world around you. You will be surprised how many you find. If you are having trouble figuring out what you are looking for, email Professor Britt for hints. Professor Britt ran into a former student of this class who told her this “treasure hunt” was his favorite memory of the class. So have fun with it. One semester I had a student who posted photos from her phone of signs and t-shirts. She told the class she got some strange looks when she asked people if she could take a picture of their shirt!
