Welcome to English 2375

Spring 2008

You are special students this semester since you’ve enrolled in the inaugural online delivery of Children and Adolescent Literature.  Enrolled students should review this website extensively prior to the first week of course.  Prospective students are welcome to look around.  Getting started involves going to the left-hand column and reading all sites:  home, syllabus, calendar, assignments.

If You Are Enrolled, Here Are Some Things to Do Before the Semester Begins:

  • Contact me before classes start.  My email address is khochmeister@mail.accd.edu.
  • Purchase the required texts:  Temple's Children's Books in Children's Hands (ISBN 0-205-31846-0)
  • Acquire your ACCD E-Portal Address.  We will be using these addresses for the class.  You will also be sending your  weekly homework assignments using the “Message Board” option found under “My Courses” which allows a student to communicate with all classmates.
  • Explore the course through clicking on each link. When you are ready to work, begin with the semester calendar.  This site will be the one that you need to read the most often.  The links to each week there tell students what to do.

If You Are Thinking of Taking this Course

If you are not registered, but are thinking of enrolling, please check out the site,
especially the advice from former students, so that you may make an informed decision.
