1. Prospective English AP students may receive credit for English 1301 (without a grade being assigned)
- by presenting qualifying scores on the high school senior level of the College Board Advanced Placement in English (A.P. Eng Lit/Comp);
- by presenting qualifying scores on the CLEP General Examination in English with Essay accompanied by a score of 110 or above on the Accuplacer Sentence Skills (SS) Exam; or
- by presenting a score of 110 or above on the Accuplacer Sentence Skills (SS) Exam and successfully completing the departmental exam procedure administered by the SAC English Department.
2. If qualifying AP students wish to have a grade assigned for 1301, they must take English 1302 at SAC. The grade received in English 1302 will also be assigned to English 1301, for a total of six hours of credit.
