| What is the Architectural Computer Aided Drafting program? |
Computer Aided Drafting is the mastery of the computer software necessary to prepare drawings commonly used in the building industry. This program is an important component to any student who wants to work in an Architectural, Landscaping, Engineering or Interior Design office. The industry requires staff to be able to draw and interpret construction drawings as well as produce presentation drawings.
You will have the opportunity to study residential and commercial design. Included in these areas of study will be the preparation of construction documents, life safety and building codes, the electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning requirements of a building and their impact on Architectural construction projects. Exploring architecture, building materials and the methods of construction will add to your base of knowledge.
