ANNOUNCEMENT OF FALL 09 BLACKBOARD TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Session I - Fall 09, September 7 – October 11.

  • Online Fast Track Training for experienced and previously certified Internet faculty
    Sandra T. Caceres, will be your online instructor
  • Online Full Track Training for faculty who have not been Internet Certified
    Sandra T. Caceres, will be your online instructor
  • Face to Face Fast Track Training for experienced and previously certified Internet faculty
    Dan Melgoza and Richard Williams will be your instructors

    Choose one day per week only: Moody Learning Center room 716, Computer Lab
          Monday 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
          Wednesday 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
          Thursday 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Session II – Fall 09, October 19 – November 22

  • Online Fast Track Training for experienced and previously certified Internet faculty

  • Online Full Track Training for faculty who have not been Internet Certified

  • No Face to Face will be offered.

The Blackboard Training Curriculum consists of 5 weeks of 2 to 3 hours of training whether online or face to face.

This is a district wide training program and therefore once you have completed training and review, you will be eligible to teach using Blackboard at any of the five Alamo Colleges.


The Online Full Track curriculum consists of

  • articles for review regarding online instructions,
  • some interaction with your peers using discussions, as well as
  • "how to videos" which will be practiced in a blank shell provided each trainee.

    At the end of training you will be expected to successfully present 3 weeks of course content of your choice for review by the Internet Certification Committee. Once approved, you will be considered Blackboard and/or Internet Certified.
