Congressional Research Service Reports Free search service for all Congressional Research Service reports that have been posted on the web. The CRS is the public policy research arm of the U.S. Congress and is known for non-partisan, in-depth analysis of public policy issues. CRS does not publish its reports, but many of them have been made available by government agencies and members of Congress. [Free access to everyone]

CQ Almanac[Congressional Quarterly, Inc.] The online edition of CQ Almanac brings together over sixty years (1945 to the last session of Congress) of authoritative, unbiased congressional reporting in one, easy-to-use resource. CQ Weekly [Congressional Quarterly, Inc.] Nonpartisan news and analysis of legislative issues in plain English covering virtually every act of the U.S. Congress including floor votes from 1983 to the present day. Criminal Justice Periodical Index (CJPI) [ProQuest] Includes citations for articles published in criminal justice periodicals, plus some abstracts and some full-text journals. Uses the generic search page from Proquest Direct with no mention of CJPI until you click on "Select Database". Back file is limited; consult the printed CJPI in the SAC Library Reference Area. Europa World Plus [Routledge; Taylor & Francis Group] Includes the Europa World Yearbook and the Europa Regional Surveys of the World. Federal Register Online [U.S. National Archives & Records Administration] Official daily publication for Rules, Proposed Rules, and Notices of Federal agencies and organizations, as well as Executive Orders and other Presidential Documents. Legal Collection [EBSCO] This database contains full text for nearly 250 of the world's most respected, scholarly law journals. The Legal Collection is an authoritative source for information on current issues, studies, thoughts and trends of the legal world. LexisNexis Academic [LexisNexis] International in scope. Includes legal news and law reviews, State and Federal codes, regulatlions and case law including the full U.S. Supreme Court Reports, U.S. Attorney General Opinions, European Union Law (CELEX), tax law, patent research, and legal career information. LexisNexis Government Periodicals Index [LexisNexis] Subject and author indexes to 170 magazines and newsletters published by U.S. Government Agencies. Updated quarterly with approximately 2,000 new articles. [SAC plus off campus access]

LexisNexis Statistical [LexisNexis] Includes the American Statistical Index and Abstracts and the full-text of the Statistical Abstract of the United States, plus the full-text of many US government statistical publications from 1995 onward. Military & Government Collection [EBSCO] formerly Military Library FullTEXT. Military & Government Collection provides full text for nearly 300 journals and periodicals, full text for 245 pamphlets, and abstracts and indexes nearly 400 additional periodicals.
