CIRCULATION - PERIODICALS
(FOURTH FLOOR)

Periodical materials in paper format are shelved in closed stacks. To access these materials, users must present a retrieval slip and surrender an acceptable form of identification. San Antonio College faculty may browse in the closed periodical stacks.

The identification and the retrieval slip will be held at the periodical service desk until the materials are returned.

Periodicals materials are available for in-library use only. The materials are to be used in the periodical reading room in Moody Learning Center room 435.

A user may check out a maximum of three paper format periodical issues at one time.

Periodical issues, in whatever format, are not available for interlibrary loan. Individual articles within issues may be requested on interlibrary loan.

If an employee of the Alamo Community College District wishes to use periodical materials in the periodical reading room, they must surrender their Employee Photo-Identification Card, which will be held with the retrieval slips for the items they are using.

San Antonio College faculty and staff have the privilege of checking out up to six issues at a time. San Antonio College faculty and staff must present San Antonio College Photo-Identification Cards to check out periodicals.

Acceptable forms of identification are:

  • For San Antonio College Students, a San Antonio College Photo-Identification Card.

  • For faculty and staff of the ACCD, a current Photo-Identification Card from San Antonio College, Palo Alto College, St. Philips College, Northwest Vista College, or the Alamo Community College District.

  • For students of others institutions of higher education or high schools, a current student identification from their institution.

  • For members of the public, a San Antonio College Library Courtesy Library Card or a currently valid Texas Department of Public Safety drivers license or ID card.
