First Responders family day

The San Antonio College First Responders Academy recently hosted its first Family Day at the  facility  near Von Ormy, TX.

The April 25 event included refreshments, displays and opportunities for families of SAC Fire Science students to see demonstrations of fire rescue and firefighting.  Students and parents from Edison High School also attended.  SAC has partnered with SAISD and the S.A. Fire and Police Departments to offer a fast track to careers in fire science and law enforcement.

Some  250 people came out for  the Family Day. For more photos, check out  the SAC Facebook page.
