PTK gets national…

The San Antonio College Phi Theta Kappa Beta Nu chapter received national recognition during the PTK International Conference held April 4-7 in San Jose, Calif.

PTK gets national recognition

The San Antonio College Phi Theta Kappa Beta Nu chapter received national recognition during the PTK International Conference held April 4-7 in San Jose, Calif.

SAC  won national recognition for its' 2012 Honors In Action Project.

Students attending the conference included: Kim-Briana Lorine, Joshua Rodriguez, Lisa Wolf, Maritza Alvarez, and   Matthew Brunicardi.  PTK advisor Mary Mena, SAC Mortuary Science instructor, accompanied the students.

There are an estimated 1,300 PTK Chapters throughout the United States and participating countries.  Beta Nu is now one of the top 100 chapters in the nation.  

Mena reports that when the Beta Nu chapter was recognized more than 400 chapter members representing Texas teams cheered for SAC.

PTK is the honor society for two-year colleges.

The 2013 PTK induction ceremony will be 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18 in the McAllister Auditorium.
