Welcome Days - Spring Semester

It’s that time again… SAC’s Welcome Days are here. Whether you are new to San Antonio College or you’re returning for yet another semester, you must attend this WELCOME DAYS extravaganza.

 Activities include: live music in the Mall, SAC T-shirt giveaways on the hour, free drinks and snacks (while supplies last), workshops in the Fiesta Room, STBC blood drive and the SUCCESS Zone. Enter the SUCCESS Zone, and collect stickers to enter the raffle. Fun prizes will be given away both days, including two $250 scholarships!     

Schedule of Activities:     

Tuesday & Wednesday, Jan. 22-23     

9 to 2 p.m.                 Got Directions? Info Tables                                 FAC Mall Area 

The SAC Public Relations Team and college volunteers will be handing out maps, directions, and SAC giveaways at Info Tables spread out around campus. Look for the big tents! Info Table #1 will be located in the Mall area in front of Fletcher Administration Center (FAC.) Table #2 will be located in between the Chance Academic Center (CAC) and the Nursing & Allied Health Center (NAHC).  

9 to 2 p.m.                 Tobin Lofts Leasing Office Open House           CE Annex 

The Tobin Lofts at San Antonio College Leasing Office is open for business! Stop by to get leasing info. Tobin Lofts is a new student housing property opening in Fall 2013 on the SAC campus. You will also be able to check out a model room.   

9 to 2 p.m.                 Student Life T-shirt & Food Giveaway               LSC Mall Area 

The Office of Student Life will be handing out free SAC t-shirts in the Mall area at the top of every hour. You can sign up for Org Sync, and get a free snack or drink (while supplies last.)    

9 to 2 p.m.                 SUCCESS Zone                                                       CG Mall Area 

Win a $250 scholarship just by walking through the SUCCESS Zone. New this semester, the SUCCESS Zone will showcase all the fantastic resources available at SAC. You can walk through and get your “SUCCESS Zone Passport” filled out to be entered to win. Prizes will be distributed throughout the day, and one lucky winner will win a $250 scholarship each day.

8 to 5:30 p.m.           Help Desk/ Tech Support                                      MLC Mall Area  

The Office of Technology Services will be set up outside of Moody Learning Center (MLC) to assist students with questions related to ACES and technology. Stop by if you need help with your schedule and to get info about SAC’s technology services.

  9 to 4 p.m.                 Blood Drive                                                               LSC Mall Area 

You could save a life.Stop by the mobile blood bank to volunteer to give blood during Welcome Days. The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center collects a blood supply for over 100 hospitals & clinics in 43 South Texas counties. Your donation matters.

Did you make a New Year’s Resolution to “get in shape?” Well, this workshop can help you be successful with that resolution. Join Chris Dillon, SAC’s Wellness Coordinator, in this workshop about living a healthy lifestyle. Free health and fitness tips included!

  2:30 p.m.                   10,000+ Facebook Likes Celebration                LSC Fiesta Room     

You LIKE us, you really LIKE us! If you “like” SAC on Facebook, then stop by and get a free piece of yummy, Facebook-blue cake. This is our toast for reaching our goal of surpassing 10,000 likes. (While supplies last.)
