Office of Technology Services (OTS) provides a variety of important services to support your computer hardware or other IT equipment needs. Key services include but are not limited to the following:
All problems, queries and requests for assistance must be made to the Office of Technology Services at (210) 486-0777. The Help Desk is staffed from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Reallocation Equipment Inventory – OTS maintains an inventory of reallocated computer and related equipment for redistribution. All equipment follows Alamo Colleges established hardware standards.
- Equipment Upgrades/Replacements – Contact OTS personnel to consult on equipment upgrade options and replacements. To ensure adherence with college wide Hardware Standards, any purchase of computer hardware must be done in consultation with OTS. - Equipment Disposal – OTS staff follow proper disposal of computer equipment and peripherals. Please contact OTS staff before you dispose of any computer or related equipment.
- Technical Consulting – OTS staff provide technical consulting for technology purchases. Contact our Resources Coordinator to consult on department purchases, department moves or desktop replacement options. Please review the guidelines before making a purchase to ensure compatibility with Alamo Colleges technology.
- Annual Inventory Reconciliation – Our department staff will work with your department administrative personnel to ensure proper inventory reconciliation of all IT equipment.
