Committees facilitate communication between OTS personnel and the college community allowing all participants to give feedback on new technology initiatives and strategic plans. Committees also use SharePoint application for internet browser based collaboration, website content management, social networking, and document management including a repository for meeting minutes and agendas.
Technology Advisory Council is a college-wide group serving in an advisory capacity to the College Academic Council. The Council meets quarterly to plan and discuss technology initiatives for San Antonio College. Council members also work with their constituents to gather their feedback and input on all technology wide initiatives.
Technology Roundtable Group is a team of Information Technologists at San Antonio College that meets monthly to discuss and coordinate various operational aspects of technology systems and services. Topics include IT policies & procedures, technology processes, technology acquisition, asset management practices, security, software packages, hardware, VoIP phones, network infrastructure, telecommunication cabling and other technical issues.
