Chancellor Visits HT1 Training at Oppenheimer Center

Alamo Colleges Chancellor  Dr. Bruce Leslie and   San Antonio College Dean of Professional Technical Education Vernell Walker  meet trainees from Alamo Workforce Solutions Tuesday, Feb. 2,  at the Oppenheimer Education & Training Center. Joshua Magallanez (from left) and Pete Remmert are part of an 80-hour Continuing Education (CE) Course on Home Technology Integration (HTI) Training at SAC.

The HTI Course is coordinated by  the Alamo Colleges Economic & Workforce Development Team, the City of San Antonio, AT&T and Alamo Workforce Solutions of San Antonio to meet the employment needs  in the   telecommunications industry.  Instructors are Brenda Clark and David Mochen.  Tim Rockey, Dean of CE Training Network, described the course as a partnership between industry and the college, adding that AT&T has committed to hiring 10 percent of its graduates.
