WHAT
The LULAC Parent/Child Scholarship program seeks to ensure the educational success of two generations by providing support, encouragement, assistance and incentives for participants to complete their educational objective at an ACCD college.

By completing their educational objective, the participant ensures a full scholarship for their child. Due to the remarkable success of the program, for 2008 the number of scholarships awarded will be increased from 25 to 31.

REQUIREMENTS:
Successful applicants for this program must:

-  Be the parent of only one child, age six or younger.

-  Enroll in Fall 2008 at an Alamo Community College (ACCD) - San Antonio College, Palo Alto College, St. Phillip's College, Northwest Vista College or Northeast Lakeview College.

-  Be willing to commit to complete an Educational goal at an ACCD college.

-  Have completed a parenting program in high school or at least four clock hours of parenting at a community site and provide documentation.

-  Have completed and submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.

-  Be available for an interview, if necessary
