WE Conference for Women
Who Want to Return to School is Set for May 15

Due to high volume of registrants, we are no longer accepting registration.
Walk-up registration will be contingent upon a space available basis
after all conference pre-registrants are processed.

WHAT: The WE Conference is a free one-day motivational conference for women who are considering a return to school and would like more information about careers and enhancing leadership skills.  Continental breakfast and lunch are included.The four conference tracks are: 

  • Career Exploration (identify career interests and pursue satisfying jobs
  • Personal Career Enhancement (seek growth and maximize personal strength
  • Leadership Development (Enhance leadership abilities to get ahead at work and school
  • and a track in Spanish about strategies for attending college and balancing career and family. 

In addition, there will be a conversation about Healthy Choices and Empowerment for women in both English and Spanish.     Participants may apply for scholarships to attend San Antonio College in Fall 2008.  Applications are due by April 24.

Presented by the San Antonio College Programs and Services for Women & Non-Traditional Students in conjunction with the ACCD Foundation, Network Power/Texas, and “Women 4 Women” Health Initiative sponsored by the Center for Health Training, Austin, Texas.

 WHEN:  Thursday, May 15, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

WHERE: San Antonio College, 1330 San Pedro Ave., San Antonio, TX 78212
               McAllister Auditorium (corner of San Pedro and Courtland Pl.)

WHO:  San Antonio College counselors and representatives from financial aid, testing, and Programs and Services for Women & Non-traditional Students.
