TUITION PAYMENT
We accept:
- Cash
- Checks: provided the student has not had a returned check with the Alamo Community College District in the past.
- Charge: Charge cards accepted are MasterCard, VISA, or American Express.
Installment Plan Option: Students registered in the Fall or Spring sixteen week session, may sign a contract to participate using the installment plan. There is a $25.00 administrative fee required at the time the first payment is made. The first payment includes half of tuition and fees plus the administrative fee. The balance of tuition and fees are divided into two additional payments. Due dates are printed on the student's bill once a contract has been established.
Three-Peat Tuition Costs
STUDENTS CHOOSING TO ATTEMPT THE SAME COURSE MORE THAN TWICE WILL BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL SPECIAL TUITION RATE OF $203.00 PER SEMESTER CREDIT HOUR FOR IN DISTRICT AND OUT OF DISTRICT UNLESS THE CLASS IS CLASSIFIED AS A SPECIAL TOPICS COURSE.
Free Tuition for Senior Citizens 65 Years or Older

Option 1. Traditional Credit
Complete an application online and go through the registration process.
Tuition is free but all other applicable fees are assesed.

Provide official transcripts from all schools attended.

May enroll in up to 6 credit hours on space availability with a tuition waiver. Will be restricted to enrolling in traditional lecture courses and will not be permitted to enroll in activity classes such as private music or art classes, or Internet classes. Go to the Fletcher Administration Center, Room 216, to secure tuition waiver.

Retistration for courses will be based on skill levels provided by transcript or institutional testing.

Student is required to follow the course syllabus, required homework assignments, research papers, exams, etc.

Performance grades, (A, B, C, D, F, W) will be earned and posted on the official transcript. The official transcript will be available at the end of each semester.
Option 2. Audit Non-Credit
No tuition and fees, Classes are free.

On the first day of class go to the Fletcher Administration Center, Room 216, to secure proper documents.

Present documents to instructor on your first day of class.

There will be no credit or grade given and no official transcript of record will be kept.
TUITION ASSISTANCE
Students receiving assistance from third party agencies (ex: Texas Rehabilitation Commission, Texas Commission for the Blind and Deaf, Hazelwood, Early High School Graduates, Texas Tomorrow Fund, Active Duty Military Tuition Assistance etc.) must provide the appropriate documentation to the Business Office staff for payments to be processed.
NSF POLICY
Immediate restitution of funds must be made when a check is returned by your bank for insufficient funds. A $35 service fee will be charged by the Alamo Community College District. The district will not accept a check from anyone from whom a bad check previously has been received. Stopping payment on tuition checks does not constitute an official withdrawal from the college and will be considered as an NSF check. Official withdrawals must be processed at the Office of Admissions and Records.
CHECK CASHING POLICY
Payroll, Refund, and Financial Aid Checks are not cashed in the Business Office. The Business office will cash personal checks for Faculty and Staff only. They must have a District ID and checks can not be written for more than $25.00.
PARKING PERMITS
Parking Permits may be purchased during on-campus registration or in any Business Office. Students and employees are eligible to purchase One Decal/Tag. Exceptions are authorized through the presidents office (Article IV of the Parking and Traffic Rules and Regulations). A Vehicle Registration Form must be completed and full tuition payment received prior to receiving a parking permit. Each student parking on the campus must have a parking permit. Note: License plate number is required on the Vehicle Registration Form. The permit fees are as follows:

Parking Permit Fees are non-refundable.
AccuPlacer
Students may pay for the AccuPlacer Exam ($15.00), once they have registered with the Assessment Center. A registration form will be issued to the student upon registration by an Assessment Center Representative. The test fee must be paid prior to the start of the exam.
CROSS / CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT
Cross Enrollment
Students enrolled in more than one Alamo Community College District institution (PAC, NVC, SPC, or SAC) may combine their fees and tuition if they are in the same term. At the time tuition and fees are paid, the student must inform the bursar or cashier of their cross enrollment so that adjustments can be made.
Concurrent Enrollment
A student registered concurrently at SAC, NVC, SPC, or PAC and any other State supported institution of higher education must pay minimum or base tuition at only one of these institutions. Evidence of this minimum or base tuition paid at another institution is needed, then the student is assessed tuition charges computed at the hourly rate. For minimum and hourly rates, see the Tuition and Fees Chart in the College Schedule. All other appropriate fees are assessed accordingly.
FINANCIAL AID CHECKS
The Business Office disburses checks only. A picture ID or student ID will be required. If specific information is needed regarding the Financial Aid awards, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

REFUNDS
Refund checks are mailed by the Business Office to the address provided by the student, to the ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS OFFICE. Students must drop officially with the ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS OFFICE, failure to do so may prevent a refund due to the student.
Any refund of tuition paid by the credit card, will be refunded back to the credit card.

VIA BUS PASS
Students may purchase a bus pass for $35.00 for the current semester. A VALID COLLEGE STUDENT picture ID is required. Continuing Education students must contact the
Via Metropolitan office to obtain a bus pass.
