    TCCTA   RELEASES   2009 - 2010   FACULTY   SALARY   STUDY    

      The Texas Community College Teachers Association has released its annual online Survey of Faculty Salaries & Benefits .   This
      format allows the expansion of the overall report to include supplemental benefits such as on-site child care, paid
      dependent insurance coverage, release time, and sabbatical leave.   The complete report (which includes additional tables for ORP
      contributions, part-time faculty salaries, etc.) and the salary surveys for previous years can be found on the Faculty Senate
      web page, Accrediting, Governmental, & Professional Organizations, under the TCCTA listing.



    FACULTY   FILLS   VACANCIES   ON   SAC   TENURED   FACULTY   TERMINATION   APPEALS   COMMITTEE

      During the November 3 - 6 Tenured Faculty Termination Appeals Committee election balloting, SAC faculty selected the following three
      faculty members to serve a 2009 - 2012 term on the committee:

  Maria Davis, Business  
  Stephen Dingman, Library  
  Susan Witta-Kemph, Visual Arts

      SENATE   ANNOUNCES   2010   SAC   PIPER   PROFESSOR  

      Senator John Deosdade, Chair of the Senate Elections & Surveys Committee, revealed that Dr. Teanna Staggs,
      Associate Professor in the Biological Sciences Department, has been selected as the 2010 San Antonio College
      nominee for the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation's Piper Professor award.   To review Dr. Staggs' responses

      AC   EMPLOYEE   SERVICES   POSTS   2009 - 20120   SALARY   SCHEDULES

      The Alamo Colleges Employee Services Department has released these 2009 - 2010 faculty salary schedules:


      FACULTY   MEMBERS   RELEASE   SALARY   RECOMMENDATIONS

      On July 8th, the eleven faculty members on the Faculty Compensation Study Committee submitted various faculty pay
      recommendations to Mr. James McLaughlin, Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration. To access the pdf-formatted

      FACULTY   SENATE   ELECTS   OFFICERS   FOR   2009 - 2010

      At its May 6th meeting, the Faculty Senate elected these officers for the 2009 - 2010 academic year:

  •   Jeff Hunt, Theatre & Speech Communications - Chairperson  
  •   Dawn Elmore-McCrary, English - Vice Chairperson  
  •   Linda Lowman, Early Childhood Studies - Secretary  

      These faculty members will take office at the beginning of the Fall 2009 semester.

      John Deosdade, Faculty Senate Elections & Surveys Committee Chair, has announced that these eight SAC faculty members
      have been elected to three year terms running from 2009- 2012:

    SENATE   ANNOUNCES   PROMOTION   APPEALS   COMMITTEE   ELECTION   RESULTS

      John Deosdade, Faculty Senate Elections & Surveys Committee Chair, has disclosed that these five SAC faculty members
      have been elected to varied terms on the SAC Promotion Appeals Committee:

  Liz Ann Baez Aguilar, English     2009 - 2012  
  Ellen Brennan, Biological Sciences     2009 - 2012  
  Eileen Oliver, Library     2009 - 2012  
  Alex Bernal, English     2009 - 2011  
  Bill Richardson, Kinesiology / Dance     2009 - 2011  


    ACCD   BOARD   AWARDS   FACULTY   COMPENSATION   STUDY   CONTRACT           UM Global HR company logo

      At its December 9, 2008 meeting, the ACCD Board of Trustees awarded a contract to Ulibarri-Mason Global HR LP of Dallas to conduct
      a "study of faculty salaries, benefits, and other terms and conditions."   During a faculty information session held on January 28th,
      Dr. Daniel Ulibarri, UM Global President and CEO, promised transparency and open communication with faculty.   Links to the following
