Student Media
The Ranger weekly newspaper and The Ranger Online provide a realistic experience in reporting, editing, design, layout, photojournalism, graphic illustration, advertising and multimedia for journalism students at San Antonio College.
The Fourth Write general interest magazine supplements The Ranger in a print and multimedia online version.
The publications are forums of free voices serving the Alamo Community College District with independent news coverage and commentary and are distributed at all district campuses. The journalism faculty advise the student media with oversight by the San Antonio College Student Publications Board.
KSYM 90.1 FM, is one of the oldest community college radio stations in Texas. It broadcasts to metropolitan San Antonio at 6,000 watts, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. It is operated by students of the RTVF Program under faculty supervision.
