Water Main Replacement Construction through February 2018

The historic San Antonio College campus has been serving the San Antonio community for more than 90 years and some of the original utilities created to bring water services to our neighborhood have reached the time in their service for replacement.  One such water main line runs through the middle of the western portion of campus between the Candler Physical Education Center and the Scobee Education Center.  This work is currently underway and construction fencing has created a pathway to our front door.  The center will maintain ADA access throughout this work, but guests may take few extra steps from Lot 21 to reach our front terrace.  Please, work with your Challenger staff to coordinate your efforts moving in and out of the center during the month of January an potentially the early portion of February 2018.  The Powell Star Deck and Scanlan Observatory will be closed to the all public access once the fencing restricts the use of the fire exit from the roof.  This closure is expected to occur beginning Friday, January 19, 2018.  Look to this site and out Facebook page for these updates.
