To help San Antonio College meet its mission to promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation through instructional and social activities that contribute to cultural awareness and interaction, several departments are offering designated course sections which are infused with Mexican American topics. The intent is to encourage inclusion and to enrich specific sections of classes with the Mexican-American Experience for the enhancement of personal and professional relationships in a city with a large Hispanic population. Beginning Fall 2006, students may earn a certificate upon completion of 12 credit hours of MAE courses. Please click on "MAE Courses" for a detailed description of the program and a list of classes. If you have met all requirements, you may apply for certification by simply filling out an application form and delivering it to the Department of Sociology, Chance Academic Center, Room #303, San Antonio College, San Antonio, Texas 78212. For more information you may contact the Department of Sociology, (210) #785-6073.
