A  Midsummer Night’s Dream is a story of order and disorder, reality and appearance and love and marriage. While it is one of Shakespeare’s most well-known and publicly produced comedies, this version of the renowned play finds the world of humans intersecting with the realm of magic where SAC Theatre Director and Faculty Member, Laura Garza, has reimagined Shakespeare’s classic comedy as a 1980’s fairy tale. In this production, punk and preppy worlds collide when the lovely Hermia is to wed Demetrius, but she truly cares for Lysander. Hermia's friend, Helena, is in love with Demetrius, while other romantic entanglements abound in the woods, with married fairy rulers Titania and Oberon toying with various lovers and each other. This is definitely one show you will not want to miss!
