Examinations

Exams for this course are conducted over the internet during exam week.  For fall and spring semesters, there will be a midterm and a final exam, each counting between 15-20% of your grade (see the specific syllabus for your course).  For summer and flex courses on the internet, there will be a final exam and there may be a short quiz in place of a mid-term exam.   Although these exams will be administered on-line, they will take place at a specific time.  Consult the appropriate schedule for your class at the beginning of the semester so that you may arrange for the necessary time to take the exam.  Please note that you may be required to take the exams on campus or to make arrangements to have the exams proctored elsewhere.

Questions will be in essay form and will require analyzing works of art and discussing issues related to art, along with searching and identifying works of art on the internet.  See the exam sample at http://www.alamo.edu/sac/vat/arthistory/arts1303/Sample.html

Exact dates and times for examinations are posted on the schedule for your class.  Students will be reminded through e-mail and/or the listserve.
