Texas Association of Schools of Art
TASA is a unique organization in Texas and
perhaps in the United States. Initiated in 1970 at the behest
of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the Organization
has continued their charge to help resolve transfer issues
that might arise between two-year and four-year, public and
private higher education institutions and art departments.
Although TASA still advises with transfer recommendations,
the Organization has become much broader in its service and
communication.
With a comprehensive web site and database, TASA can quickly communicate
information to and from the far-flung departments of art in Texas.
Whether transfer issues need to be discussed; professional standards
supported, or curriculum and programs updated, TASA has become
a respected network that supports and nurtures the visual arts
in higher education
