- sixty percent of current health care jobs are in Allied Health, and
- the top 30 fastest growing jobs in the U.S. are in Allied Health occupations.
What is Allied Health?
The term Allied Health identifies a cluster of health care professionals. Allied Health workers support and
assist the work of doctors and nurses. Allied Health workers generally fall into two categories, technicians
and technologists, and work under the supervision of other clinicians.
At St. Philip's College, you will learn the technical skills and
competencies you will need to succeed in your chosen Allied Health
profession. The critical thinking, communication,
and problem-solving skills you will acquire will help you
perform your duties as an Allied Health professional.
