Program Accreditation & Licensure

The Respiratory Care Technology program is fully accredited and in compliance with essentials and standards of the Commission on Accreditation of Respiratory Care (CoARC).

Antonio Hernandez, M.D. is the Medical Director/Advisor for the Respiratory Care Technology Program.

Upon successful completion, the graduates of the Respiratory Care Technology Program at St. Philip's College receive an Associates of Applied Science degree and are eligible to apply for the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and several clinical specialty examinations.

In addition to the national CRT & RRT credentials, there is credentialing at the state level through the Texas Department of Health.
