Blackboard Vista Training

Note: Effective Spring, 2010, all online classes must use Blackboard Vista.
To be eligible to use Blackboard Vista for online classes, faculty must successfully complete the certification training.
Blackboard Vista Certification training will begin January 25th.
The training is online and takes 5-6 weeks to complete. Faculty members in the program will create their course content in a Blackboard Vista course shell following guidelines and requirements provided in the training.
To get started, you must attend one of the following Orientation Sessions:
- Wednesday, January 20, 2:00-3:30 pm, NTB 102
- Thursday, January 21, 12:00-1:30 pm, NTB 102
The online training modules must be completed according to the following schedule.

All training modules must be completed by the dates listed above.
A Course Readiness Review with IIC trainers, distance learning faculty, and department chairperson is held at the end of the training period to review the faculty member’s course shell based on the certification rubric. Course Readiness Reviews will be held starting the week of March 1st and must be completed no later than March 12th.
