Supporting our Military at Fort Sam Houston 

St. Philip's College provides information and enrollment services at Fort Sam Houston on behalf of the Alamo Colleges District.  Evening courses are scheduled at Fort Sam Houston for the convenience of our military and Department of Defense students. Unfortunately, due to security requirements, we are unable to accommodate foreign student on Visas at this location.  Military have priority enrollment for all courses at Fort Sam Houston.

Before engaging in any voluntary education activities, please consult your education service office regarding service-specific requirements, instructions, and/or regulations.

ANNOUNCEMENTS 

NOTICE TO STUDENTS --REAL ID Act affects on installation access: 
Beginning January 2018, all civilians requesting access to any Joint Base San Antonio installation (Fort Sam Houston, Randolph, and Lackland) will need to comply with the REAL ID Act of 2005 by presenting a REAL ID Act compliant form of identification for access.  Acceptable forms of identification include a REAL ID Act compliant Texas Driver License, U.S. passport, U.S. passport card or other form as listed by the Department of Homeland Security.

Military TA and MyCAA Tuition Rates 

Fall 2017-Summer 2018:  Texas residents and those stationed in Texas; $86.00 per semester hour.  All other DoD funded students; $202.00 per semester hour.  Does not include special tuition for certain courses.

EVENING PROGRAM INFORMATION

St. Philip's offers evening courses at Fort Sam Houston and civilian students are welcome however, military and DoD affiliated students have registration priority for all Fort Sam classes.  All visitors to Fort Sam Houston are subject to background checks.  An Authorization for Release of Personal Information form is required from all students, including active military and their family members, and must be received at the time of registration. Students without DoD ID cards must be registered no later than 10 days prior to the first day of class. 

Only students registered for Fort Sam Houston courses will be sponsored onto Fort Sam Houston.  Chaperones and/or drivers will not be sponsored.
