ACES Information
ACES is your official access point to student resources and information. Once accepted to Alamo Colleges, all students are given a banner id number and official Alamo Colleges e-mail.
Through ACES you can:
- Register for classes
- Review your Finacial AID status
- Check your official Alamo Colleges E-mail
- Look at the class schedule and more!
Your Official Alamo College e-mail address will be the official form of communication between you and the college.

Blackboard Vista Information
Blackboard is a learning management system inside of which you will find online course content. With many tools and features, Blackboard will give you an in-class experience within an online environment.
Accessing your Blackboard Vista course:
- Login to ACES.
- Click on the My Courses tab.
- Click on the course to enter Blackboard Vista.
Check the Course Schedule for information to verify that you are under the correct semester (or under your appropriate CE semester).
Virtual Business Office
The Virtual Business Office is an online hub where you can pay for your college related products, services, tuition and fees. For more information, please visit the Virtual Business Office website.
Banner Look-up Tool
Banner ID Lookup - The Banner ID Lookup tool can help you automatically find your Banner Identification number. If you receive multiple or NO ID found messages during your search, please contact Admissions at 210-486-2830.
Smarthinking - Online Tutoring
Need help with assignments but can't get to campus?
Then look into the Smarthinking Program!
Smarthinking is an online tutoring service which allows students to connect to tutors via the internet, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Smarthinking also provides an online writing lab with certified tutors who analyze and return papers within 24 hours.
To get started:
- Click on the "My Courses" tab.
- Under Student Resources:
- Click on the "Smarthinking - On-Line Tutorial" link.
