St. Philip's College is hosting its first teen and unplanned pregnancy awareness event July 3 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Heritage Room of the college's Campus Center Building at 1801 Martin Luther King Drive. This event is open to the public with free admission and parking.
The staff of the St. Philip's College Dr. Frank Bryant, Jr., Patient Simulation Center and Nursing Laboratories will deploy computerized mannequins used by college nursing students for study of childbirth in the delivery room environment to graphically demonstrate a pregnant mother delivering her newborn, according to Solomon Nfor, science instructor and the college's organizer for the classroom series known as Jessica's Project.
