The Learning Company is a collaboration between the Alamo Colleges District, and local business leaders to train the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators.
The core of the program is a 6 week training Boot Camp that trains multidisciplinary startup teams to take ideas and develop them into business models. Each startup team consists of multiple students with one faculty member. Startup teams are then put through a series of training modules including ideation, business model canvas, and human centered design. Teams will have a professor/coach from the innovation department helping them as well as mentor from the Learning Company Board. Upon completion of the program, teams will then be able to pitch their work to the Learning Company Board for suggestions as well as access to funding.
