Course Name: Canvas – Overview

This hands-on quick start session will provide an overview of our new Learning Management System – Canvas. The session will include information on the overall navigation, account profiles, layout of the course, course modules, collaboration tools, quiz, assignment options, settings, technical support options, course migration processes and backup options. After this session, you will have a firm understanding of many of the new features that Canvas provides.

Course Name: Canvas: Assignments & Quizzes

This hands-on session will take an in-depth look at assignments in the new learning Management System - Canvas. It will review the creation, grading and management of the assignments and group assignments.

Course Name: Canvas: Collaboration/Communication

Canvas program includes capabilities for announcements, discussions, conversations, blogs, conferences, document collaborations, email, inbox and more. This hands-on session will provide you with an overview of these tools and cover how it can be used to enhance our teaching and learning options.

Course Name: Canvas: Outcomes/Rubrics/Reporting

Attend this hands-on session to learn how to create rubrics and how to apply them with your quizzes and assignments. In addition you will also learn how to apply and track learning outcomes to your assignments, quizzes, discussions, track student progress and access.

Course Name: Introduction to Canvas – Faculty (Online Course)

This online workshop will include a brief introduction to Canvas and will cover the basic tools within this newest learning management system, including course migration, settings, content management, communication tools, group settings, grade book, assignments, quizzes, rubrics and more. You will also learn about the various support options available to you as a Canvas user at the Alamo Colleges District.
