75 Years of Transforming Our Community1945-2020The Alamo Colleges District was brought into being by the will of our community, who saw the need for an affordable college education available to all and voted to create the district, allowing for expansion and growth to offer an accessible college education that would provide the opportunity for economic and social mobility to more residents and contribute significantly to the prosperity of the community who created us. |

St. Philip's College and San Antonio Junior College form the San Antonio Union Junior College District now known as the Alamo Colleges District.

1961
The Scobee Planetarium opened. The building underwent extensive renovations in 2014.

1985
Palo Alto College holds its first classes.

1987
St. Philip's College was designated as both a Historically Black College & University and a hispanic-serving institute.

1995
Development of Northwest Vista College begins.
-
2001
Northeast Campus center begins offering classes at 7980 - 7990 Pat Booker Rd.

2019
District Support Offices open in 2019 at 2222 N. Alamo St.
