Nursing Assistant

Prepare yourself for entry-level nursing assistant by achieving a level of knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to provide basic care to residents of long-term care facilities. You will experience topics that include resident’s rights, communication, safety, observation, reporting, and assisting residents in maintaining basic comfort and safety. In addition, you will learn the importance of effective interaction with members of the healthcare team. Prerequisite: Students must present current shot records at registration.


Clinical - Nursing Assistant

Gain the necessary health-related work-based experience that enables you to apply specialized materials, theory, skills, and concepts to the care of residents in a nursing care facility under the direct supervision of the instructor. Prerequisite: Students must successfully complete the Nursing Assistant (NURA 1001) Lecture, class.
