When you decide to become a Texas Notary Public, it is important to obtain the most accurate information regarding Texas notary law. Learn the history of the Notary Public, the Notary’s role and status as a Public Officer. Learn about the primary duties and fundamentals of performing a Notarial act and the ethical conduct and professional responsibility required of a Notary. The class covers the qualifications for becoming a Texas notary, the importance of recordkeeping, authorized duties, prohibited acts, and penalties, as well as best practices regarding notarial procedures. Students will review various sample documents and journals throughout the class. The instructor will provide guidance on making an application for Appointment as a Texas Notary Public.
