2018 Board of Trustees Elections
Commencing on January 17, 2018, the College District will accept applications for a place on the General Election ballot for trustees for single-member districts five (5), six (6), and seven (7). The term for districts five (5), six (6), and seven (7) will expire in 2024.
Commencing on January 24, 2018, the College District also will accept applications for the Special Election ballot for the unexpired term in single-member district nine (9). Applications for a place on the ballot for a special election may not be accepted until after the Election has been ordered by the Alamo Community College District Board of Trustees on January 23, 2018.
Applications for a place on the General Election and Special Election Ballots must be filed with the Secretary of the Board at the Office of the Chancellor/Board Liaison, 201 W. Sheridan, Building A, San Antonio, Texas 78204. Sandra Mora, College District Board Liaison/Elections Administrator, will accept the applications on behalf of the Secretary to the Board. An Application for Place on the Ballot must be filed by 5:00 p.m. on the deadline date of February 16, 2018. The Texas Education Code requires that each candidate for trustee be a qualified voter and resident of the District to which election is sought at the time of application.

Drawing for Place on Ballot:
This is a reminder that the drawing for places on the ballot will take place on February 26, 2018, at 4 p.m. in the Alamo Colleges District Board Room 101; 201 W. Sheridan, Bldg. E.
Withdrawing application for place on ballot:
The deadline to file a Certificate of Withdrawal of the application for a place on the ballot is Friday, February 23, 2018, at 5 p.m. The form Certificate of Withdrawal is available on the Alamo Colleges District and Secretary of State websites and at the ACCD Elections Administration Office. A completed and notarized Certificate of Withdrawal must be received in the ACCD Elections Administration Office by the deadline, whether delivered in person or by mail.
