Perspective Partners

The Alamo Colleges District partners with local non-profit, government, and community-based organizations which work to improve the quality of life for the community.

Through our community-based work-study program, we support organizations that help local, at-risk residents. From direct care to solving problems related to their needs, students from Alamo Colleges can support your cause by applying their academic knowledge to societal challenges.

Today, over 60 partners offer workplace learning to the numerous work-study students seeking positions. Nonprofit organizations located in the northeast, northwest and north central parts of Bexar County are invited to register to broaden our partnership site locations. Work-study positions in IT, animal services, the arts, graphic design and jobs requiring an interest in mathematics or engineering are in high demand across all of Bexar County.

Contact Martha Trevino, PhD at to learn more about the benefits of about becoming a community work-study site partner.
