Alamo Colleges District Expanded Texas Completion Repayment Program

The Texas Completion Repayment Grant Program is designed to assist students who have an outstanding balance incurred during Fall 2021 and/or Spring 2022 at any of the Alamo Colleges, that has created a hold from registering for Fall 2022. Students that will not attend Summer 2022, want to enroll for Fall 2022, and currently have a Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 balance are encouraged to apply.

About the Program

The Alamo Colleges has recently received funding for the Texas Completion Repayment Program. The intent of the program is to re-enroll students that stopped out because of balances owed for Fall 2021 and Spring 2022, and were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Awards for prior balances are up to $1,000 per student.

Funds can only be applied to a balance that was acquired Fall 2021 and/or Spring 2022. 

If you are interested in continuing your enrollment at the Alamo Colleges for Fall 2022, these funds can assist with your prior balance and will allow you to continue with your educational program.

Eligibility is based on the following criteria:

• must be a Texas resident;

• must have stopped out of enrollment due to balance that incurred Fall 2021 and/or Spring 2022; student cannot be enrolled in the Summer 2022 semester.

• must enroll in at least 3 hours in Fall 2022;

• must not have earned a credential or degree;

• the student must meet the selective service requirements; and

• the student completes an institution application for Completion Repayment Grant aid.  

To apply for these funds, please complete the application form HERE and our office will begin the review process.

*Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Steps to Recieve Award

The repayment funds are only awarded after enrollment in the Fall 2022 semester. Student cannot be enrolled for the Summer 2022.

In order to received funding, you must:

  1. Complete the Alamo Colleges Texas Completion Repayment Application. Your application will be reviewed for eligibility. 
  2. If approved, you will need to meet with your assigned advisor to register for classes. The Advisor will coordinate with the Bursar's Office to override financial hold to register for classes
