Statement on mask requirement:
The Alamo College District – Palo Alto College Commencement Ceremony will be held at a facility that is owned and operated by Southwest Independent School District. Southwest ISD has specific COVID 19 protocols and policies in place for any organizations that utilize Southwest ISD owned facilities. As such, Alamo College District – Palo Alto College will follow these policies which include a mask requirement and completion and passing of a self-screening questionnaire prior to arriving on site. While the Governor of Texas recently issued an Executive Order banning government entities in Texas from requiring masks to fight the coronavirus pandemic, the order also states that public schools, such as Southwest ISD, can maintain the mask requirement until June 4. Southwest ISD is maintaining the mask requirement until June 4 and this requirement will be in place for any individuals who visit the facility to attend the event, and masks will be available upon request. If individuals refuse to wear a mask, then they will not be permitted to attend the ceremony and may be escorted off site.
Self-screening questionnaire
Those attending the in-person commencement ceremony – all participants, family members and friends – must complete a Self-Health Screening Questionnaire prior to entering Southwest Legacy HS Auditorium.
