Four out of five Alamo Colleges have been recognized on a list of 2022 Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges (MPPWCC) by Diverse: Issues In Higher Education.

According to the news magazine, Northwest Vista College, Northeast Lakeview College, St. Philip’s College and San Antonio College were chosen as one of 24 community colleges in the nation.

With a focus on workplace diversity, staffing practices and work environment, the research team uses a web-based survey approach to examine categories such as family friendliness, salary/benefits and professional development opportunities in determining the list.

All colleges continue to follow their mission of creating opportunities for success by offering quality academic, technical and life-long learning experiences to its diverse communities in a collaborative, student-centered, data-informed and shared leadership environment.

All four colleges have previously received the MPPWCC award.

Diverse: Issues In Higher Education will present this national recognition to the winners during the NISOD annual meeting, May 28-31, 2022 in Austin, Texas. The findings will also be published in the May 2022 edition of the magazine.
