Who Can Take Dual Credit

Eligibility

The Texas Administrative Code has developed the Dual Credit program for high school juniors and seniors who have met the minimum testing requirements in the areas required for the course being taken, as well as the identified deadlines within the school district students are attending. The college will make the final determination on all admissions to the Dual Credit.

Student consideration is also based upon submission of a complete application packet and must be listed on the High School's Recommendation List. They can take a maximum of two tuition-free Dual Credit courses during a regular fall and/or spring semester.

In accordance with Alamo Colleges policy, all students that take classes on the San Antonio College Campus must be at least 16 years of age by the start of the academic year in which they enroll. This includes internet based courses.
