Earlier this year, the Alamo Colleges District Communications and Engagement Department team met with local businesses, elected officials, K-12 school districts, and community leaders. They shared their thoughts on the district and provided input on how the district could improve its communications and engagement with them.
Based on the input they received, the department is improving its communication strategies to ensure that the district responds to the needs of stakeholders, builds upon existing programs and creates new initiatives to help the community prosper and grow. As a part of this plan, the team created a new communication initiative called AlamoLISTENS. The goal of this plan is to improve communications and pursue strategies that allow the Alamo Colleges District to be more engaged in student success.
As the next step in the process, business or community leaders, a K-12 partner, four-year university partners, current students, prospective students, and alumni are asked to participate in a short survey here. Any other community members also are welcome to take the survey appropriate to them.
The answers provided by the survey are essential in order for the district to serve its community and students more effectively.
