Alamo Colleges students can take advantage of the supercharged version of our Summer Momentum Plan, which saves eligible students time and money by allowing them to take free classes in Summer 2021.

This plan allows students with a GPA of 2.0 or better as of May 21, 2021 who earn hours in Spring 2021 at any of the five colleges in the Alamo Colleges District to get six to nine FREE credit hours in the Summer 2021 semester. It also allows Spring 2021 first-time in college students to earn 3 FREE academic credit hours this summer.

These unprecedented times are placing an increased financial burden on students to meet basic needs. The Expanded Summer Momentum Plan enables more students to achieve the lifelong benefits of college with less financial stress.

Students can earn their degree in less time, save money and use their financial aid more effectively.

The Expanded Summer Momentum Plan is a last-dollar scholarship that will cover tuition after all other financial aid resources have been awarded. This expanded version of the district’s regular Summer Momentum program doesn’t require students to earn a specific number of credit hours in the preceding fall and spring to qualify.

Part-Time Students

Part-time students can take up to six hours of classes in summer free, and full-time students can take up to nine hours free. Part-time students are those who attempted up to 11 credit hours in Spring 2021.

Full-Time Students

Full-time students attempted 12 or more credit hours in Spring 2021. Spring first-time in college students with a 2.0 GPA or better are eligible for three FREE academic credit hours this summer.

Students are encouraged to take hours within their program plans. Tuition will be credited in May 2021.
