NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars
Complete a 5-week online course to apply for a four-day workshop in the spring at NASA. If you are selected, they will cover all of your costs to travel to a NASA Center where you will participate in a group project and meet with NASA engineers and scientists. There are internships throughout the year. There are 10 laboratories to pick from in STEM fields.
Rice University Nanotechnology Research Experience for Community College Students
A 10-week summer internship for community college students specifically designed to give hands-on research experience in one of the most exciting areas of scientific research. Receive $6000 stipend.

Summer Research Programs at Universities/Companies
These programs are normally for STEM majors who would like to do research in their field of study. The programs normally last 8-10 weeks during the summer and students normally receive a stipend from $3000 - $5000. Some programs include travel costs, room, and board. Most applications are due January-February 2017.
